Reward based training for happy Paws & people

JOIN OUR GROUP TRAINING CLASSES

Hi, I’m Emelia, a government-certified assistance dog trainer, and I’d love to help you and your Pet-Dog build a great relationship and training foundation together!

The small group age-specific classes ensure that every dog and handler gets the right level of support and plenty of individual attention. I train in a secure, fenced area, with the flexibility to move indoors or outdoors.

I use reward-based training methods to make learning a fun and positive experience, helping you and your dog develop important life skills while building a strong bond between the two of you. With just a 4-Week commitment, it’s easy to fit training into your schedule.

Are you looking to build a well-rounded family pet dog via building a strong relationship with effective and fun training methods?

These age-specific puppy and dog training classes use reward-based training methods to help you and your dog build a strong foundational relationship via age appropriate socialisation, play, general obedience and doggy life skills.

Understanding canine communication is key to building a strong bond with your dog. Dogs use body language, vocalisations, behaviours and facial expressions to express emotions and intentions to both humans and other animals. Can you speak ‘dog’?

To join the ‘puppy paws’ group, your dog should have had it’s 2nd vaccination at approximately 10-12 weeks old. If your puppy has not had it’s 2nd vacc. and you would like a 1:1 session to get started on the foundations in your home, please email us directly: paws4assistance@gmail.com

At Paws for Assistance, we recommend using intranasal vaccinations in combination with the standard C3 injectable vaccine for our prospective assistance dog puppies & pet-dogs. The intranasal vaccine provides early protection against canine cough (also known as kennel cough) by stimulating local immunity directly in the respiratory tract where the virus enters often within just 3 to 5 days. When paired with the C3 injectable vaccine, which protects against parvovirus, distemper, and hepatitis, this approach offers broader and faster-acting protection during a puppy’s most critical development phase. Early immunity allows puppies to safely begin environmental socialisation sooner, exposing them to new places, people, sounds, and surfaces while they are still within their prime socialisation window. This early start builds resilience and confidence; key traits for a future assistance dog or even pet-dog navigating the busy world with their handler.
